Louisville Water Company is requesting bids for the supply and installation of approximately 340 linear feet of six-inch and 400 linear feet of eight-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main using traditional trench installation techniques. The project also includes the supply and installation of one fire hydrant, nine customer services, fire hydrant removal, main cut and plugs, and restoration along the defined project limits. The contractor is responsible for supplying and installing all materials required to complete the project. Bids will be accepted only from Louisville Water Small Business Equity (SBE) Program Participants who have been pre-qualified by the company in the applicable categories: 4" - 16" Ductile Iron Water Mains, 1" and Smaller Services, and 1.5" & Larger Water & Fire Services. A Bid Bond is required. The contract will be awarded to the bidder whose bid is responsive to the specifications, substantially complies with contract requirements, and presents the lowest and best price for performing the work, or as determined by the company to be in its best interest. All recipients of the bid documents must sign a planholder sheet confirming receipt, and sealed bids are to be submitted via the designated online portal. The company reserves the right to reject non-prequalified or non-SBE bids, disqualify defective or non-responsive bids, waive immaterial defects, and reject any or all bids not in its best interest. *The value for this project is based on a financial range of $250,001 - $500,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
