The project is for the replacement of the superstructure of Lock 8 Way over Bond Creek, BIN 5525300, located in the Town of Kingsbury. The limits of the project extend approximately 150 feet north and south of the existing bridge on Lock 8 Way. The required work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to completing the work shown in the plans and described in the specifications. This specifically includes the superstructure replacement, rehabilitation of existing concrete substructures, and highway approach work. Federal and NYSDOT standard specifications must be followed. This is a unit price bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds for 100% of the accepted bid and comply with federal equal employment opportunity requirements. Instructions to bidders include the need for completed bid forms, certifications, security of not less than 5% of the bid, registration with the NYS Department of Labor, and receipt acknowledgment for all addenda. Bids received from contractors not on the official Plan Holders List will not be accepted. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled for the project and received by the specified deadline at the Washington County Purchasing Department. Work must be substantially completed 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed and completed and ready for final payment by the specified date.
