The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications, including but not necessarily limited to removal and replacement of roughly 105 ft. of joints from 2 separate bridges along Hegeman Bridge Road over Batten Kill and CR24 over Mettawee River. This will include the removal of deteriorated concrete immediately surrounding the joints. The joints will be replaced in the same location as those existing. The successful bidder must follow NYSDOT Standard Specifications. Bids must include the completed Bid Form, Non-Collusive Bidding and Disbarment Certifications, and Lobbying Certifications. All bids must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to conditions described in the Instructions to Bidders. The awarded bidder must furnish Performance, Payment, and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable surety company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. All subcontractors must have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to being awarded a contract. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of all Addenda. Bids received from contractors not on the official Plan Holders List will not be accepted. The successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to pay prevailing wage rates on this contract and comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw a bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the bid opening. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid.
