Scope of Work of the Contract includes the construction of a reclaimed water treatment facility at the City of Katy's Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 25839 Interstate 10 Frontage Rd, Katy, TX 77494. Work will include but is not limited to pumps, piping, filter unit, hydrotank, storage tank, concrete foundations, site work, electrical work, and all labor, equipment, material, and incidentals required for the project. Generally - A proposed new reclaimed water facility with a rated capacity of 615 gallons per minute. The reclaimed water facility is to be located at the City of Katy's wastewater treatment plant facility located at 25839 Interstate 10 Frontage Road, Katy. Texas 77494. This treatment facility is operated by City of Katy employees. The proposed reclaimed water facility is to be constructed near the wastewater plant's final outfall, which is at the terminal end of the existing Chlorine Contact Basin. 2. A proposed Effluent Pump Station that will deliver treated wastewater effluent from the existing Chlorine Contact Basin's outfall to the proposed Cloth Disk Filter Unit. The proposed Effluent Pump Station includes two (2) selfpriming pumps, suction piping, discharge piping, fittings, flow meter, valves, connections, metal fabrications, VFD-rated electric motors, and mountings. The work includes a cored and sealed penetration into the existing chlorine contact basin concrete wall for the suction side piping. The work includes the installation of a fabricated metal baffle plate in the chlorine contact basin. 3. A proposed Cloth Disk Filter Unit having a treatment capacity of 650 gallons per minute. The filter unit is equipped with two (2) self-priming backwash pumps, drive motor, and control panel. The filter unit includes the installation of a fabricated steel observation platform as shown on the drawings. The filter unit receives flow from the proposed Effluent Pump Station. 4. A proposed 4,000 gallon Bolted Steel Water Tank with a factory powder coat finish. The bolted steel water tank includes several inlets and outlet ports, sample tap, drain, overflow weir, ladders, rails, vent, as shown on the drawings and described in the technical specification. 5. A proposed Booster Pump Station that will deliver filtered reclaimed water from the Bolted Steel Water Tank to the proposed Hydropneumatic Tank (and ultimately the receiving irrigation system that is being constructed by others under a separate contract). The booster pump station includes two (2) selfpriming pumps, suction piping, flow meter, discharge piping, fittings, valves VFD-rated electric motors, and mountings. 6. A proposed 5,000-gallon Hydropneumatic Tank, including the tank supports, the air compressor system, piping, sensors, valves, and connections. 7. Yard piping, which includes reclaimed water lines (purple PVC pipe), tank overflow piping, backwash pump discharge piping, blow-off valve and piping, pump station suction and discharge piping, and all proposed piping as shown on the Yard Piping Plan. 8. A masonry Control Building. The Control Building includes a mini-split air conditioner, doors, roof, finish hardware, wall penetrations, as shown on the drawings and described in the technical specifications. 9. Site work including but not limited to: a. Grading plan, including Structural Embankment as required to raise the site to finished grade b. Site Concrete Work, to include all concrete foundations, slabs, retaining walls, sidewalks, stairs, as shown on the civil and structural drawings. c. Aluminum handrail installations, as shown on the design drawings. d. Site restoration, to include finish grading and hydromulch seeding of disturbed areas. 10. Electrical and Instrumentation improvements as shown on the electrical drawings and described in the technical specifications
