Site work for a water / sewer project in Prentice, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
In general, the project consists of replacing approximately 2,700 linear feet of water main (open cut and directionally drilled), including services, hydrants, select storm sewer items, and replacement of impacted asphalt, and curb and gutter. A single prime bid will be received for the work. Sealed bids are to be submitted in electronic format through Quest vBid. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid amount. Bid and bid security may not be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the Bid Deadline. Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Agreement and furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. Bidders must comply with regulations for civil rights, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action. Minimum salaries and fringes must be paid according to the prevailing wage rate scales established by the Federal Department of Labor. The Contractor must ensure non-discrimination in employment. Federal labor standards, including the Davis Bacon Act, Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, apply. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. Bidding documents may be obtained in PDF format for a non-refundable fee from the specified website.
