The major elements of work associated with rehabilitation include, but are not limited to, the removal and rehabilitation of existing well pump and motor; installation of rehabilitated well pump and motor; removal and replacement of level transducers and tubing, adding a second tube; video inspection of well; rehabilitation of well by brushing and bailing of debris as needed; furnishing new equipment instead of rehabilitated, as necessary. The terms “bid,” “bidder,” “quote,” or “quoter” are interchangeable. Familiarity with the site conditions is a requirement. Should the quotes total over $175,000, a certified check payable to the Clerk of the City of Eagan or a cash deposit equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid is required. Should the quotes total over $100,000, the successful quoter will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of the Contract. The City reserves the right to reject any and all quotes, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and to award the contract in the best interests of the City.
