Bids are invited for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for Calaveras Blvd Median Improvement, Project No. 3468. Bids must be submitted on the specified forms in person. Bid security of at least ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price is required, made payable to the City as a guarantee of contract execution and provision of necessary bonds and insurance within five working days of the Notice of Award. The successful bidder is required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and comply with all relevant labor, wage, and apprenticeship requirements. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder based on the base bid alone, and the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities. It is the bidder's responsibility to evaluate and include the costs of all compliance requirements in their bid. Bidders must obtain and verify the completeness of all bid documents and check daily for addenda or updates until bid close. The engineer's estimate for the base bid is between $550,000 and $650,000.
