Environmental Graphics & Signage Package for Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa is required. The work includes the fabrication and installation of vehicular, parking, and monument signage for Southeast Polk Community School District. The Signage Contractor is responsible for the quality and safety of the final product, using supplied custom artwork in digital formats. The contractor must verify that sign placements meet state and federal guidelines and align with power sources, providing written notice of discrepancies and visual proof of adjustments as needed. All signage must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Bidders are required to have read and understood all Bidding Documents and addenda. All quoted costs must include completion schedules and all necessary components, including fabrication, submittals, transportation, installation, and clean-up. The work must be performed by an experienced Signage Contractor regularly engaged in similar projects. One sample section of Sign Type H2 must be submitted for review. Substitutions may be requested using a specific form at least ten days before the bid date. Any clarifications or corrections will be issued only by written Addendum. Bids must be submitted on the provided Excel form and sealed, and may be modified or withdrawn in writing before the deadline. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor irregularities, and negotiate unit prices if necessary. Shop drawings and submittals detailing materials, colors, methods, and installation must be approved before fabrication and installation. Final walkthroughs and punch-lists are required, with correction of any fabrication errors within thirty days at no additional cost. The Signage Contractor’s project manager must coordinate on-site work, examine installation conditions, and correct any issues before proceeding. Final electronic files, signage standards, specifications, location schedules, and message schedules will be provided to the awarded contractor.
