The Warren Washington Industrial Development Agency is soliciting lump-sum bids from qualified contractors for the construction and modification of an existing access road between East Street in the Village of Fort Edward and the Canalside Energy Park. The project includes replacing an approximately 600-foot single-lane roadway with a two-lane access road to provide safe ingress and egress during the planned bridge replacement on Lock 8 Way. Work includes site preparation, clearing and grubbing, grading, roadway construction, asphalt paving, guiderail and gate installation, erosion and sediment control, and site restoration. The project is subject to New York State prevailing wage requirements and will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Presently Washington County DPW is soliciting bids for a contractor to replace an existing bridge on Lock 8 Way. To facilitate the proposed bridge replacement, all traffic on Lock 8 Way will be disrupted forthe duration of the bridge construction. In order to provide safe continuous ingress and egress to the Canalside Energy Park property during the bridge construction, the existing access road to East Street (Fort Edward) requires improvements. All work is to be completed in accordance with the provided design/construction plans and documents, unless otherwise noted. Major Task Items for the contractor are listed as follows: (Note: The Major Task Items are listed for guidance purposes only and should not be considered a comprehensive list of all work required.
