TMS #C421-05-00-205 HGB JOB #424103447 T&H JOB #J-28406.0002 CWS JOB #2024000256 (W) & #2024000256 (WW) CITY OF CHARLESTON JOB #TBD PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this Project is to improve drainage in the Windermere Basin by providing an additional drainage outfall to the west at Culbertson Drive and improving the existing drainage outfall to the east at William Ackerman Lane. The Work will include: demolition of paved areas; tree removal and clearing and grubbing; muck excavation; extensive water and sanitary sewer utility relocation by a CWS pre-qualified contractor; installation of approximately 880 feet of concrete pipe, 1,980 feet of box culvert, and 38 drainage structures / valves; concrete and asphalt paving of streets, curbs, and sidewalks, including some pavement milling; erosion control; sodding of disturbed areas; traffic control; certified as-built construction drawings; coordination with other utility companies; and more as shown in the Drawings. CWS PRE-QUALIFICATIONS: Charleston Water System (CWS) is in the process of pre-qualifying contractors to work on CWS-owned utilities, with the selected contractors being identified by February 5, 2026.
