The City of Lakeland Public Works - Facilities Maintenance Division is requesting proposals for services of qualified and experienced State Certified Licensed General Contractor (CGC) or Building Contractor (CBC) registered in the State of Florida, to perform all work outlined in the attached project specifications and construction documents for the Lakeland Electric Building- Breakroom Renovation Project All Questions regarding this request for proposals shall be in writing and submitted electronically via the Portal through the Question and Answer tab before 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. SCOPE OF WORK 3.1. Scope- The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, temporary protection, tools, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project specifications, construction documents, good construction practices, and overall requirements. The work includes but is not limited to new flooring finishes, wall tile, new millwork, new plumbing and fixtures, replacement of light fixtures, relocation of mechanical diffusers and painting of the 1,010 GSF existing breakroom. Non-Mandatory 2nd site visit has been scheduled for vendors and/or their subcontractors that attended the 1st mandatory pre-bid meeting on February 5th Wednesday February 11, 2026 at 10:00am. we will meet at Lakeland Electric at 501 E Lemon St. Lakeland, FL 33801 (meet inside lobby by the guard)
