Site work and paving for a road / highway in Atlanta, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
CR 459 is located in Hillman Township, sections 3 & 4, T31N - R4E. Project starts approximately 160 north of the CR 459 and Lake Avalon Rd intersection and proceeds 1.09 miles north ending at the approximate north Township Line. Aggregate base, modified, is to be added on top of the existing roadway at a depth of 5 inches. Crushing of aggregate base, modified and existing HMA is to take place along the mainline and at paved approaches. HMA is to be applied at 220 lb/syd with two 11 foot lanes and two 3 foot shoulders for a total HMA width of 28 feet. Estimated HMA 5EL - 2,100 Tons. Also, include estimated 75 ton of HMA approach. This work will be done in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate pay items in the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction except as herein specified. Reconstruction of Co. Rd. 459 from Lake Avalon Road to the north Hillman Township line. All proposals must be in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the bidder and plainly marked as to their contents. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof, to waive defects in bids, and to accept the proposal in part or entirety that, in the opinion of the Board is in the best interest of the Montmorency County Road Commission and the County of Montmorency.
