Renovation of an educational facility in Osceola, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Question Deadline 02/17/2026 Bidders Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders questions received up to 48 hours prior to conference. This project consists of the renovation of the existing elementary school. The majority of the work will be occurring in the existing '92 addition which consists of finishes, plumbing fixture, casework, and lighting replacement, HVAC upgrades and fire alarm upgrades. In the kitchen, the existing dish wash line will be reconfigured and a new exterior freezer and cooler will be added. There are several alternates on the project relating to finish upgrades in the remainder of the building, specifically corridors. See Section 012300 for full extents. There will also be a ceiling, lighting and HVAC replacement in the music rooms at the secondary building. 1. Project cost is anticipated to be under Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand dollars ($7,500,000). Project Locations a. Clarke Elementary: 231 S Kossuth St, Osceola, IA50213 b. Clarke MS/HS: 800 One Tribe Dr, Osceola, IA50213 The project consists of the renovation of the existing elementary school, with the majority of work occurring in the existing '92 addition, including finishes, plumbing fixture, casework, and lighting replacement, HVAC upgrades, and fire alarm upgrades. The construction contract will be awarded to a single General Contractor for all work, including that of subcontractors. All bids must be lump sum, prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders, and accompanied by bid security of no less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Bidders must be properly licensed, able to obtain required insurance and bonds, and the successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within ten days of award. Contractors and approved subcontractors will receive a Sales Tax Exemption Certificate for materials and supplies for the project. Printed procurement and contracting documents may be obtained with a refundable deposit or accessed online at no charge for registered bidders and suppliers. Preference is to be given to products, provisions, and labor from within Iowa.
