Reference Number 0000410527 The work to be performed under this contract consists of the construction of concrete alleys at two (2) base bid locations in Northwest Aurora, with two (2) additional locations included as bid alternates, also located in Northwest Aurora. The work shall include, but not be limited to, concrete replacement, concrete and asphalt removal where necessary, subgrade preparation, unclassified excavation, adjustment of sewer line manholes, and concrete placement and backfill as appropriate, asphalt patching (HMA), traffic control, and erosion control at each selected alley where work is performed. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all debris and materials from each alley at their own expense. The City cannot accept any removed and disposed of debris and materials at any City facility/property. The Contractor will need to submit to the City a no-charge-to-the-Contractor typical generic Alley Closure plan prior to starting any on-site work. A suggested typical generic Alley Closure plan is attached to these Special Conditions. The Contractor shall notify the City of Aurora Materials Laboratory a minimum of three (3) working days in advance of placing concrete, all as further specified in Section 8 of these Special Conditions. Work not specifically called for, but which must be accomplished to construct the concrete repairs required under this contract, shall be considered as a part of this contract, whether or not specifically detailed.
