Description

Renovation of a library in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Replace the air handler and condensing unit located at 1020 Washburn, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Submission of Bidder Questions* Monday, January 19th, 2026 Board Consideration of Award: Thursday, February 19th, 2026, 4:00 pm CDT; bidders do not need to be present at the Board meeting Notification of Decision to Bidders: Friday, February 20th, 2026 (via email) Base Bid Recover charge from system. Disconnect and remove condenser and evaporator coil. Frame out and pour extension on condenser pad to fit new unit. Provide crane service to remove old condenser and set new condenser. Furnish and install new 30T dual circuit condenser w/ (1) digital scroll compressor and (3) fixed scroll compressors for a total of (4) stages of cooling. Furnish and install new dual circuit evaporator with new refrigeration specialties in existing Trane air handler. Provide with terminal to interface with existing BAS Install new refrigerant piping for each circuit. Connect to existing electrical and drain as required. Pressure test and evacuate system to 500 microns. Charge system w/ R-410A. Customer to facilitate Johnson Controls to install and program a controller in condenser for staging unit properly. Start unit and test operations. All labor, material, equipment and standard shipping included. Contractor shall verify existing electrical capacities and shall provide all changes necessary for completion of project.
