Renovation of a transportation facility in Manistee, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,570-square-foot, one-story above grade transportation facility.

The project will consist of replacement of hangar doors including doors, track and hardware and other associated upgrades. The project shall be complete and ready for final inspection within one-hundred forty-six (146) calendar days from the effective date of Notice-to-Proceed. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid forms, with the envelope clearly marked and containing a proposal guaranty in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the bid sum. A 100 percent performance bond as well as labor and material bond will be required from the successful bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the closing time for proposals. There is a zero percent DBE requirement. Manistee County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. Bidders must comply with affirmative action requirements, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, Buy American Preference, Davis-Bacon Requirements, Debarment and Suspension, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements, trade restriction certification, lobbying restrictions, and procurement of recovered materials requirements. Potential bidders are encouraged, but not required, to attend a pre-bid meeting. There is a zero (0) percent DBE requirement for this project. Bidders shall submit a proposal guaranty in the form of a proposal bond, certified check, cashier's check, or bank money order in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the bid sum. The proposal guaranty shall be made payable to Manistee County. If the selected contractor fails to provide the required materials and/or execute the contract within twenty-eight (28) days after being furnished with the necessary contract and bond forms, the proposal guaranty will be forfeited to the Sponsor. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory 100 percent performance bond as well as labor and material bond.
