Renovation of a fire / police facility in Auburn, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Sealed bids are being solicited for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the Electrical Service Installation for new Safe Air Plymovent systems (provided by others) in the truck bays of Fire Stations 2-5 within the City. The scope includes the installation of electrical service and the disconnection and removal of existing Air Vac systems at each of these fire stations. Installation of Electrical Service for SafeAir Plymovent System at Fire Station :- Four locations are specified: Fire Station No. 2 (1520 Shug Jordan Parkway), Fire Station No. 3 (685 Ogletree Road), Fire Station No. 4 (1299 Stoker Street), and Fire Station No. 5 (234 Technology Parkway). Each bid must be accompanied by a guarantee of at least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the bid amount in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City. The City reserves the right to select the lowest responsible bidder as the best interest of the City may require, to award the purchase contract from any of the bids, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in bids received. Bids will be good for thirty (30) days after being opened by the City. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. estimated budget is $25-$30K.Updated value/box. This project consists of installing electrical service for SafeAir Plymovent diesel exhaust ventilation systems in the truck bays of Fire Stations 2-5 for the City of Auburn. The SafeAir Plymovent System at each fire station shall be provided by others at a later date. The work shall include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to provide complete electrical service to the systems shown in the attached Appendices. The work shall also include disconnecting and removing the existing AirVac systems from the bays of each fire station. All work shall be done in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), latest edition, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), latest edition, and to the satisfaction of the City of Auburn Inspection Services Department. Working hours for the project shall generally be between 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday, and the site shall be left in a safe and secure condition whenever the Contractor is not actively working. Ingress and egress shall be maintained to the bays by Auburn Fire Department at all times. The work to be done includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to run complete electrical service to new SafeAir Plymovent systems (provided by others) in the truck bays of Fire Stations 2-5 shown in the attached Appendices. The work shall also include disconnecting and removing the existing AirVac systems from the bays of each fire station. All work shall be done in accordance with the NEC, latest edition, the NFPA, latest edition, and to the satisfaction of the City of Auburn Inspection Services Department. General materials needed are: SafeAir System 120v-230v/1PH or 208v-230v/3PH o Electrical Conduit - Electrical Metal Tubing (EMT with Watertight Fittings) o Electrical Sub Panel (IF) Required for Final Connection o High Voltage THHN Multi-Strand Conductor Wire Sized for Load as perNFPA Code o Electrical Panel Breakers - as per the Original Mfg. (AB-SD-ETONOTHER) o 24 Low Voltage Wiring in Conduit for Controls
