The work includes micro-surfacing or slurry sealing of various roadways, removal and replacement of pavement delineation and markings, new signs, adjustment of utility boxes, manholes, frames and covers to grade, and all work complete in place as shown in the Project Plans and Special Provisions. The Contractor is required to possess a Class A license at the time of bid submission. Bids must be submitted electronically, and only those who obtain the complete bid set through the specified website and confirm inclusion on the official plan holders list will have their bids considered. The bid proposal must include bid security equal to ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the prescribed forms. The successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, and any other submittals as specified, within fourteen days of receiving the Notice of Award. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. This contract is subject to prevailing wage requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and determine the lowest responsive bid in the City's interest. Proposals with obviously unbalanced prices may be rejected.
