The work consists of removing and replacing concrete sidewalk, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps, driveway approach, curb and gutter; adjusting utilities to grade; and all other work necessary to construct the project complete and in satisfactory condition, as shown on the Contract Documents and/or as specified. Bidders must submit sealed bids before the specified deadline at the designated location. Bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check or a bid bond, is required. Bidders must have a valid California contractor's license (Class A) and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Prevailing wage requirements and compliance with applicable labor laws apply. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts is permitted. Each bidder must submit a completed Subcontractor List form with their Bid Proposal, including required information for each Subcontractor performing in excess of one-half of 1% of the bid price.
