Renovation of an educational facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The scope of work includes replacement of all existing system hot water pumps, perimeter heating hot water piping, insulation, valving, and heating units. The project involves the installation of new VAV boxes and BMS, which includes new controllers, new perimeter heating valves, and new thermostats that will all be controlled via the new BMS. Asbestos abatement in specified spaces is also part of the scope. The construction scope is estimated at $14,000,000 to $14,500,000. Potential bidders are expected to have completed a variety of plumbing projects over the last five years, including demolition and installation of system hot water pumps, perimeter heating hot water piping, insulation, valving, heating units, and asbestos abatement. Instructions to bidders: Each firm must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) package organized and assembled in a clear, logical, and professional manner consistent with the stated requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection. The EOI package must include a cover page with company and project details, a table of contents, and clearly labeled tabbed sections as specified. These sections must include the company profile, experience documentation with at least five relevant projects, sample project schedules, firm's written safety program, resumes of the proposed project team, a list of potential subcontractors with M/WBE participation information, anticipated workload, experience modification rating, bonding capacity documentation, and a NYS Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire. All items outlined in each tab must be provided, and the sequence of the tabs must follow the solicitation instructions. EOI packages not prepared and submitted in accordance with these provisions may be considered non-responsive and subject to rejection. Only shortlisted firms will be invited to bid later. The construction contract will be held by DASNY. Additional requirements include compliance with Project Labor Agreement, EEO/AA insurance, and NY State business registration requirements. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
