The scope of work includes the restoration of two stormwater downchutes, involving but not limited to clearing, grubbing, and desilting the existing downchutes, regrading, and installing erosion protection measures such as LLDPE liner, riprap, reno mattress, and gabion baskets at the City of Linden Landfill located at 1451 Lower Road in the City of Linden, Union County, New Jersey. Work includes providing all personnel, supervision, services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies for mobilization and demobilization, temporary and permanent soil erosion and sedimentation control devices, pre-construction mark-out of proposed grades, earthwork required to restore the two downchutes, and installation of erosion protection measures. Bids must be made on the provided proposal form, as designated in the specifications, in an opaque sealed envelope plainly marked with the date, time, and item being bid. Each proposal must include a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond for not less than 10 percent of the total bid (not to exceed $20,000), payable to the City of Linden. The successful bidder must furnish a bond equal to 100% of the contract price from a surety company satisfactory to the City. Bidders must comply with affirmative action requirements, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and must submit an Ownership Disclosure Statement and show compliance with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, request clarifications, and award the contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. Any questions/clarifications must be submitted in writing no later than Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
