The Worcester Housing Authority (WHA) is soliciting bids for Sprinkler Repairs and Maintenance services for a portfolio of WHA properties located throughout the City of Worcester. The contract term is one year with an option for a one-year extension at the WHA's discretion, under the same contract prices and terms. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Bids must include a bid deposit of not less than five percent of the proposed contract total and be submitted in a sealed envelope properly labeled. The successful bidder must furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond amounting to 50% of the contract total, and OSHA certification documents for all employees showing no less than 10 hours of OSHA-approved safety and health training. Compliance with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards and HUD is required, and these rates must be paid as updated. The bidder must indemnify and hold harmless the WHA for any third-party claims arising from contract activities. Bids must comply with all specified provision and procedures, and WHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities if in the interest of the Authority and public. Prices quoted should not include federal or state tax.
