The Town of Batavia, Genesee County, New York, will be accepting statements of qualification from qualified firms for the following: Engineering Consulting Services on various sewer, water resources and water Engineering tasks for the Town of Batavia. The services provided by the selected engineers will include but are not limited to: The evaluation of water resources throughout and tributary to the Town of Batavia to create strategies for water resource preservation, groundwater recharge and groundwater quality. Services shall include preparation of engineering reports that are in accordance with grant agency requirements and may also include future engineering design of water resource and groundwater recharge/groundwater quality projects. The evaluation of the Town s water system including, but not limited to its booster pump stations, water distribution system and consultation with other Engineering firms, relative to improvements that affect the Town of Batavia Water System and surrounding systems that the Town is the water system operator for. Work may include pump station and water distribution system evaluations and recommendations for improvement, review of work related to improvements that affect the operation or availability of water or affect water quality, and Engineering reports related to any of these tasks and engineering design for improvements recommended. The evaluation of components of the Town s sewer system including, but not limited to its sewer pump stations, sewer distribution system and consultation with other Engineering firms relative to improvements at the jointly owned City/Town of Batavia Wastewater Treatment Facility. Work shall include pump station and sewer distribution system evaluations and recommendations for improvement, review of work related to improvements at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, Engineering reports related to any of these tasks and engineering design for improvements recommended. Utilizing a qualifications-based process, the Town will select a consulting engineering firm licensed in the State of New York to complete tasks such as study, design, bid, administration, and close-out projects as the need arises. The successful firm shall be familiar with CWSRF/DWSRF, WIAA, EPG and other state and federal grant programs and be able to comply with requirements of those programs when completing any assigned work. The selection of the consultant will be valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of Town Board approval. The Town of Batavia is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer.
