**As of February 25, 2026, the project was awarded to Mohawk Valley Materials, Inc, with an awarded amount of $1,111,111.97.** Sealed proposals will be received for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work for site clearing and grubbing for upland sandpiper habitat creation at Oneida County Properties on Cider Street, Oriskany, New York. The project consists of clearing, grubbing, grading, and seeding existing wooded areas to create grassland habitat for the upland sandpiper. All existing trees are to be cut by March 31, 2026. Existing wetlands, streams, and buffer areas are to be clearly marked and avoided; no disturbance is permitted within these areas. The work will generally follow state construction standards. Bids must be submitted upon the furnished proposal forms, along with a deposit of 5% of the bid in the form of a bid bond or certified check payable to the County of Oneida. Failure to submit these will result in disqualification. Performance and material & labor payment bonds are required for not less than 100% of the bid price. Bids must be sealed, marked, and addressed appropriately with the project title and bid reference number. All inquiries must be made in writing. There will not be a pre-bid conference. Bidders are encouraged to visit the project site during specified hours by scheduling a visit. The contract is subject to compliance with Article 8 of the New York State Labor Law regarding prevailing wage rates. The County of Oneida invites bids from minority groups in accordance with its Affirmative Action Policy. The owner reserves the right to revise contract documents and reject all bids.
