Project Title: Madison County Sheriff's Office Penal Farm Kitchen Facility The Madison County Sheriff's Office is seeking RFQs from qualified architectural and engineering firms to design a metal-type kitchen facility with a concrete slab foundation, approximately 2,400 square feet, for use within a secure correctional environment. The building will serve kitchen-only functions, supporting meal preparation and service for inmates and staff. The proposed structure shall be a pre-engineered metal building or equivalent system designed for durability, ease of maintenance, and compliance with all applicable state and local building codes, ADA accessibility, and health/safety regulations for food service facilities. The building specifications include approximately 2,400 sq. ft., a pre-engineered metal structure, reinforced concrete slab foundation, open kitchen area, two restrooms (one ADA compliant), utility/storage room(s) as per final layout, complete plumbing system with hot/cold water, floor drains, grease trap, and all fixtures, full electrical system with lighting and dedicated circuits for commercial kitchen equipment, proper HVAC for food preparation areas, energy-efficient insulation, durable and washable interior finishes, and a standing seam or equivalent metal roof system with gutters and downspouts. Final design and shop drawings must be approved prior to construction. The selected architectural and engineering firm will be responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings, structural engineering, and shop drawings. All proposals should include design drawings and a list of recent similar projects. Sealed proposals must be submitted to the specified address and received no later than the date specified in the official RFQ notice.
