The project is expected to be issued later next month.** The project consists of the detailing, manufacturing, and installation of full capture connector pipe screen (CPS) trash devices within existing catch basins that can be certified by the State Water Board and accepted as part of the citywide storm drain catch basin full capture trash device project, where technically feasible. Where a CPS trash device is not technically feasible to design and/or install, a proprietary trash screen device can be detailed, procured, and installed by the contractor, subject to review and approval by the City and certification by the State Water Resources Control Board as a Full Capture System. The project also includes the removal of existing full capture trash devices in select catch basins, repairing the surrounding concrete as needed, and installing new certified full capture trash devices. The work is to be performed at various locations throughout the City of Moorpark. Bidders are responsible for checking the City's website for any project addenda prior to bid submittal, and failure to submit required Addenda Acknowledgment may result in disqualification. All bids must use the provided Proposal Forms and include either a properly executed Bidder's Bond, cashier's check, or other bidder's security payable to the City in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, comply with prevailing wage requirements, and provide bonds guaranteeing faithful performance and payment for labor and materials. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive unsubstantial irregularities, and make an award to the lowest responsible bidder as required. Where a full capture connector pipe screen (CPS) trash device is not technically feasible to design and/or install, a proprietary trash screen device can be detailed, procured, and installed by the contractor. The proprietary device is subject to review and approval by the City, and must be certified by the State Water Resources Control Board as a Full Capture System. The project also includes the removal of existing full capture trash devices in select catch basins. Where such devices have been previously installed, the old device shall be removed, and the surrounding concrete repaired. Following the removal, a new certified full capture trash device shall be installed. The work to be performed under this contract is at various locations throughout the City of Moorpark, as shown on the location map, and street/location list in the Appendix of these specifications.
