The project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary to satisfactorily complete parking lot improvements and sewer line repair at 18 High Street. This work must be performed in strict conformance with the contract documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. Quantities of work and materials are provided as approximations for bid comparison and may vary at the City Engineer's discretion. Bids must be submitted on the City's bid forms, and bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit. Bidders are required to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, pay prevailing wages, and provide a bid security of not less than ten percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must possess a valid Class A Contractor's license, a current City business license, and provide evidence of compliance with California Air Resources Board requirements for diesel-fueled vehicles. Five percent of each progress payment will be withheld as retention, with provisions for substitution of securities.
