Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Salisbury, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the construction of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

This project involves improving the circulation systems for Buildings B2, B3, B11, B42, B43, and B21 by replacing existing domestic water lines originally installed in 1950. Current conditions include vertical risers that dead end on the top floor and longstanding water pressure issues in Buildings B2, B3, B11, and B21 due to multiple renovations and increased demand. Work includes replacing the existing 4-inch supply with a 6-inch supply for each double feed, installing new backflow preventers, and replacing the 6-inch trunk line back to the campus water main. Typical C900 pipe is located three feet from all buildings and consists of piping 6 inches or larger in diameter, with reduction to 4 inches as it enters each building except at B42, where 6- to 8-inch ductile iron piping exists. The intent is to improve water pressure and eliminate dead legs by creating a circulating system. The anticipated Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The anticipated Period of Performance for design is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed with an estimated total contract period of 725 days. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
