Site work for a civil project in Harris, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Replacement of the Harris Sewer District Pump Stations and Force Main. Separate bids will be received for General Construction and Electrical Construction contracts. Each bid must include a bid guarantee equal to at least five percent of the bid amount, and if awarded, the contractor must execute the contract and provide acceptable performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates within fifteen days. Contractors must comply with the requirements set by NYS EFC and USDA RD, and all iron and steel products used must be produced in the United States, except for specified waivers. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the bidding documents. Only persons on record as having obtained the contract documents will be permitted to bid and receive addenda. Separate Bids will be received for the following Contracts: Contract GC-1 - General Construction Contract EC-1 -Electrical Construction The Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to comprise two (2) complete fully operational sewage pumping system (Harris Pump Station and Old Route 17) and 4" force main as described on the plans and as specified in these documents. All necessary components and equipment for complete systems shall be furnished and installed whether specifically shown and called for or not. The Contractor shall not avail himself of any manifestly unintentional omission from the plans or specifications. C. Contract No. 1 - General Construction Work includes labor, materials and equipment that is primarily civil and processing in nature plus work traditionally recognized as general construction and as described in the Contract Plans (G, C, S Sheets) and Division 1 through 46 of the Contract Specifications as well as administrative and coordination responsibilities. This Work shall include but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Bonds and Insurance, Shop Drawings, Submittals, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic, Erosion and Sediment Control in compliance with the attached Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, Temporary Facilities, including toilets/waste management, project signs, coordination with utility company for protection of overhead utilities during construction activities, Coordination with Owner, Engineer and other Contractors, Project Layout and Survey including temporary and permanent easements by a professional land surveyor retained by the General Contractor, Mobilization; 2. Permits and Fees: The contractor shall apply for and obtain permits from NYSDOT for work within the Route 86/17 right-of-way and from Sullivan County DPW for work within the County Road 75 and 174 right-of-ways. The Engineer shall furnish copies of the project plans for these applications. The contractor shall provide NYSDOT with a $40,000 bond for work within the right-of-way. DOT will waive the permit fee. The contractor shall apply to the Town of Thompson for building permits for the pump station structures. The Engineer shall provide copies of the plans for the building permit application. Fees for the building permit shall be waived by the Town; 3. Maintenance of sewage flows including bypass pumping as required per SECTION 333150 - TEMPORARY BY-PASS PUMPING; 4. Furnish and install all labor, material, and equipment for the 4" SDR 26 PVC Sewage Forcemain and 8" gravity main connections, including but not limited to, temporary bypass pumping to maintain sewage flows, excavation, disposal, bedding, pipe, fittings, couplings, air release valves, manholes, cleanouts, valve boxes, caps, risers, frames, covers, spools, cutting, grouting, miscellaneous concrete, backfill and compaction, restoration, testing, and other necessary appurtenances as shown on the plans and specified herein; 5. Furnish all necessary construction measures, labor, material, and equipment for the Jack and Bore work related to the proposed sewage force main including but not limited to excavation, directional drilling, shoring, steel sleeve, boring and jacking, backfill, compaction, shoring removal, restoration of surfaces, and other necessary appurtenances as shown on the plans and specified herein. See Section 330523.16 Boring and Jacking or Section 330523.22 Directional Drilling for more detail; 6. Furnish and install all labor, material, and equipment for the two (2) precast concrete wet wells (one for each Harris and Old Route 17 Pump Stations) including but not limited to excavation, disposal, dewatering, shoring, bedding, 8' diameter precast manhole sections, backfill, compaction coordination with Owner's Third Party Special Inspector, and testing (including Water Tightness Testing); all wastewater processing equipment including but not limited to two (2) submersible pumps, PVC pipe, fittings, supports, pump controls and other necessary appurtenances as shown on the plans and specified herein; 7. Furnish and install all labor, material, and equipment for the two (2) premanufactured, above-ground sewer booster pump stations (one for each Harris and Old Route 17 Pump Stations) including but not limited to excavation, disposal, gravity modular block retaining wall, bedding, blocks and infill materials; bedding and building foundation material, forming, reinforcement, concrete placement, and finishing, backfill, compaction, coordination with Owner's Third Party Special Inspector and testing, rigging, picking, setting, and anchoring building on foundation slab, connect factory included internal processing pipes to pump discharge pipes from wet well and to exterior forcemain, and other necessary appurtenances as shown on the plans and specified herein, See Section 333213.1 Factory Built Booster Pump Station for more detail; 8. Furnish and install all labor, material, and equipment for the additional general construction work excavation, disposal, backfill, compaction, rough and finish grading, precast concrete stairs, concrete landing, top soil, seed, site restoration, cleanup and demobilization, Testing, Start-Up of process equipment, and Training of Township Operators and other necessary appurtenances as shown on the plans and specified herein. D. Contract No. 2 - Electrical Construction Work includes all labor, materials, and equipment to comprise a complete electrical system for this project as shown on the Contract Plans (E Sheets) and Division 1 through 46 of the Contract Specifications, in compliance with the National Electrical Code and New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code. This Work shall include but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Shop drawings, submittals, coordination with Utility Company, Engineer, and other Contractors, permits and fees, testing, start-up, and training of Township Operators; 2. Selective demolition and disposal as shown on the plans (E-Sheets); 3. Furnish temporary power provisions as required to facilitate continued operation with the contract plans and specifications; 4. Furnish and install new underground electrical service to the Pump Stations including but not limited to Coordination with Utility Company, conduit, duct bank, excavation, backfill, compaction, restoration, conductors, grounding; 5. Furnish and install emergency generator systems as shown and specified within the contract documents. 6. Furnish and install all disconnects, overcurrent protective devices, grounding rods, lightning protection, electrical meters, electrical connections to all necessary fixtures shown on the plans, circuitry between building, pumps and generator, duct banks, power control conductors and conduits, support framing connections, stiffeners, bracing, cutting, patching, and hangers, excavation, disposal, backfill, compaction.
