Site work for a water / sewer project in Aliceville, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Separate sealed bids are requested for the Aliceville ARPA Storm Water Improvements. Bidders must meet the minimum requirements included in the contract documents. Bidders are required to possess all licenses and/or permits required by applicable law, rule, or regulation for the performance of the work. Upon submission of the proposal, bidders must submit their contractor's license number and a copy of the license. Any bid not containing a current license number will be rejected. Each bidder must submit with its bid a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a fully executed bid bond on the form contained in the contract documents, executed by a surety company authorized to make a bond in the State of Alabama, payable to the City of Aliceville for not less than five percent of the engineer's estimated cost of the project or of the total bid in the proposal, with a maximum of $10,000. Prequalification of bidders is not required, but bidders must comply with the applicable provisions of Alabama law governing general contractors.
