The Town of Holliston DPW - Highway is seeking sealed bids for Sidewalk and Roadway improvements on Gretchen Lane and Andrews Lane in Holliston. Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Following reclamation, the roadway will be graded toward the catch basins with a 2% slope from the centerline of the road to the gutter and compacted using a ten-ton single-drum vibratory soil compactor. The edge of the roadway will be grubbed out to meet the height of the new monolithic berm. A 2_-inch layer of Superpave Intermediate Course 12.5 will then be installed. Once the intermediate course is in place, sidewalk construction may begin and all structures will be adjusted. Any existing 24-inch manhole castings will be replaced with 26-inch manhole castings, which will be provided by the Town of Holliston DPW. After asphalt is removed from the sidewalk and driveway areas and the subgrade is prepared, the gravel base will be compacted using a vibratory roller weighing no less than 2 tons. Sidewalks and driveways will receive 1_ inches of Superpave Intermediate Course 12.5 followed by 1_ inches of Superpave Surface Course 9.5. Each course will be compacted with a roller weighing no less than 2 tons. Two curb ramps will be installed at the Central Street end of Gretchen Lane. The roadway will then be paved with 1_ inches of Superpave Surface Course 9.5. Once roadway paving is complete, driveway surfaces will be paved with the surface course. Final work will include loaming and seeding along sidewalk edges and behind the berm. Andrew Lane Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements: Andrew Lane will be cold planed, with new sidewalks and driveway aprons installed after the existing sidewalks and aprons are removed. Sidewalk construction may then begin and all structures will be adjusted.
