The work includes the furnishing and installation of a secondary containment area for the storage of the plant's treatment chemicals. This consists of a secondary containment structure with a concrete slab and auger cast pile foundation, chemical tank pedestals, concrete drive, and associated work. All work must be completed within 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, in the form stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids are accepted only from Contractors licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction, and bidders must comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except as provided under LA. R.S. 38:2214. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
