Bids will be received for a Single Overall Contract. The Bidder must be classified as of the date and time of the bid opening in the following discipline: DPMC Classification: C032 Prime Contractor with C009, C029, C030, C047, C066, C068 Subcontractors. HVAC RENOVATIONS THROUGHOUT HIGH SCHOOL TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING WORK:  1.  REPLACEMENT FOUR EXISTING 500MBH STEAM BOILERS WITH FOUR NEW HIGH-EFFICIENCY HOT WATER BOILERS. WORK INCLUDES NEW PUMPS, SPECIALTIES, BREECHING, CAPPING OF EXISTING CHIMNEY AND RELATED WORK; 2.  REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING CHILLER VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES (VFDS); 3.  REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING AIR HANDLER UNITS (12); 4.  REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING STEAM BASEBOARD AND UNIT HEATERS WITH NEW ELECTRIC UNITS (48); 5. REFURBISHMENT OF EXISTING UNIT VENTILATORS (249) INCLUDING MOTORS, DAMPERS AND CALIBRATION; 6.  INSTALLATION OF NEW CONTROLS TO SUIT NEW WORK; 7.  ASBESTOS ABATEMENT IF NEEDED AND 8. RELATED STRUCTURAL, ROOFING, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION AND ELECTRICAL WORK AS NEEDED TO SUIT THIS SCOPE OF WORK. Bid Documents are available electronically for no fee through the Architect's website, and hard copies are available for a specified fee. Bid Proposals must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a separate sealed envelope, addressed to the Owner, bearing the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked with the contract title and/or bid number. Each proposal must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the Owner equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, and a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the required bonds in the full amount of the contract. The project is subject to the New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and requirements listed, including pre-qualification by DPMC, workforce reporting, registration with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and must not be on state or federal debarment lists. All contractors and subcontractors must provide a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award.
