The project is for the City of Walton Road Restriping. The scope of work is to establish a contractor to replace paint and thermoplastic pavement markings on all City streets in Walton, Kentucky. The City is looking to restripe all existing pavement markings on City-maintained streets which would include the furnishings of all labor, material, equipment, tools, and services necessary to construct it: . Unless otherwise noted, all lane lines shall be painted. All stop bars, crosswalk markings, and turn arrows shall be thermoplastic on asphalt streets, or paint on concrete streets. . Paint and thermoplastic for road markings shall meet the most current version of the KY Transportation Cabinet Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. . All crosswalks on side streets of US 25 (Main St.) shall be restriped as "Abbey-style" markings. All other crosswalks shall be restriped as the standard style, unless otherwise noted. . The following roads are State-maintained and shall not be included in this contract: o I-75 o US 25 (Main St/Dixie Highway) o KY 14/16 (Walton-Verona Road/Mary Grubbs Highway*/Walton-Nicholson Road) *Mary Grubbs Extension east of Main St. is a City street, and shall be included in this contract o KY 1292 (Beaver Road) The City of Walton hereby requests bids for the "City of Walton Road Restriping" contract which includes the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, tools, and services necessary to replace all paint and thermoplastic markings for lane lines, stop bars, crosswalks, and turn arrows on City of Walton-maintained streets.
