Renovation of a mixed-use development in Marshall, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 15,500-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.

The Marshall Public School District seeks bid pricing to sand and refinish the gym floor at Marshall Middle School, 100 E. Green Street, Marshall, MI. The project includes sanding the entire floor (approximate square footage 15,500) to bare wood with a final cut of 100 grit sandpaper; furnishing and applying 2 coats of oil-based Berger Seidle Sport Seal Gym Floor Sealer, or equivalent; painting all game lines, staining 3-point arcs, center logo, and baseline lettering as indicated in provided photos (a digital logo will be provided to the awarded vendor); and furnishing and applying 2 coats of Berger Seidle 500 Gym Finish, or equivalent. The work should be completed using straight-time labor during normal business hours. Warranty and insurance information as specified must be included. The project must be coordinated with the school district and completed no later than August 18, 2026. Bidders must submit detailed mockup drawings, an itemized list of products, and unit prices for each. Proposals should be submitted on the provided forms, complete with the Familial Disclosure Statement and Affidavit of Compliance to the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, and notarized. A bid bond or cashier’s check (at least 5% of the proposal sum for bids over $50,000) must be included. All taxes must be included in the proposal, and the district is exempt from state sales tax for equipment purchases. Substitutions may be proposed as voluntary alternates that meet or exceed specifications. Bids must be firm for ninety days. All contractors must procure and maintain commercial liability and workers’ compensation insurance with the district listed as insured or certificate holder. No late, oral, facsimile, telegraphic, or telephone bids will be accepted, and electronic submissions are not permitted. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to award the contract in the best interest of the district.
