Separate sealed bids are to be received for renovations and additions at Fire Stations 44. Complete bidding documents are available through the architect, Piazza Architecture Planning, both as hard copies (with a refundable deposit) and electronically (at no cost). Prospective bidders are cautioned to obtain bid documents directly from the architect or notify the architect of their intention to bid to receive updates or addenda. All bids must include a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and all alternates, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond, each for 100% of the contract amount. Bidders must comply with the State of Louisiana Contractors Licensing Law. Preference may be given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are strongly urged to attend a pre-bid conference.
