Wharton-Smith, Inc., the Construction Manager at Risk for Union County on the construction of the South Piedmont Regional Autopsy Center project located at 3502 East Highway 74 Wingate, NC will be accepting pre-qualification Forms (NC Part A and Part B) from construction subcontractors to get pre-qualified to bid on the below listed bid trade packages. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project scope includes a new 15,000 square feet autopsy and administration facility and associated site work and site improvements. The project is estimated to have approximately a 14-month schedule starting in August 2026 through October 2027. Tentative bid packages are listed below, and additional bid packages may be added or deleted at the discretion of the Construction Manager. Tentative Bid Packages include, but are not limited to: sitework (grading, utilities, asphalt paving, Highway 74 improvements), site concrete, building concrete/tilt wall construction, masonry, structural and misc. steel including SS, waterproofing/joint sealants, roofing/metal wall panels, cabinetry/millwork, storefront/glass & glazing, automatic doors, overhead coiling doors, doors/frames/hardware, drywall, acoustical, flooring, epoxy flooring, painting/wallcovering, scales, specialties, prefabricated canopies, morgue equipment, cold rooms, lab equipment, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, electrical, audio visual/communication, fencing, landscaping, final cleaning, general trades package. Wharton-Smith reserves the right to modify the above bid packages as needed. CBI/HUB firms are encouraged to participate at all levels of the project. Bids submitted by any bidder not prequalified shall be deemed nonresponsive. A notification of pre-bid meeting will be established. Exact bid date, time and location will be determined but bids are scheduled to be due in May 2026. Only bids from pre-qualified manufacturers and / or vendors will be accepted. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all information received.
