The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the installation of 4,770 LF of 8 inch water main, 134 LF of 6 inch water main, (11) 8 inch gate valves, (8) fire hydrant assemblies with 6 inch gate valves, (109) water service curb stop valve replacements, cast-iron pipe removal, removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, ADA ramps, driveways, valley gutters, and bituminous pavement, seed bed preparation and seeding with hydro-mulch, erosion control, traffic control, temporary water service, mobilization, incidental items, and all other work as fully depicted in the drawings and project manual. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond with Acknowledgement or Surety, Acknowledgement of Principal, and Power of Attorney in an amount not less than 5% of the full amount of the bid made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the City of Minot, North Dakota. The bid bond shall be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, within ten days after Notice of Award, the Principal shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and contractor's performance and payment bonds as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the City of Minot. If the City of Minot elects to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, and the lowest responsible bidder does not execute a contract within ten days, the bidder's bond will be forfeited to the City of Minot, and the City of Minot may award the project to the next lowest responsible bidder. Each bidder must possess a valid North Dakota Contractor's license of the proper class, as required by Chapter 43-07-07 of the North Dakota Century Code. Each bidder must include a copy of their Contractor's License or Certificate of Renewal, issued by the North Dakota Secretary of State, and each license must be valid and dated at least 10 days prior to the date set for bid opening, as required under Chapter 43-07-12 of the North Dakota Century Code. No bid may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the bidding requirements of Chapter 48-01.2-06 of the North Dakota Century Code, and any deficient bid submitted will not be opened.
