Question Due Date: February 18, 2026 5:00 p.m. SacSewer seeks the services of a consulting engineering firm or team (Consultant) for design and support during construction of the Digested Sludge Dewatering Project. Questions for this RFP should be submitted to the SacSewer's designated point of contact via email The project will design and construct a new digested sludge dewatering and storage facility with all of the necessary appurtenances needed for the new facility to function properly. The Biosolids Management Plan identified several potentially suitable locations. The designer and the project team will evaluate all potential locations and recommend a final location. This facility will include one or more buildings to house sludge screening equipment, centrifuges, cake conveyance and load out hoppers, chemical feed (polymer) equipment, cake storage, odor control facilities and several other miscellaneous appurtenances needed for a fully functional operation. Initial planning efforts identified centrifuges as the preferred treatment process for this facility; however the designer shall confirm this preference through a Business Case Evaluation (BCE) analysis. There may be a need to pilot test different manufacturers of sludge dewatering equipment to efficiently design the building structures, but the project team will make that decision with the Consultant after more information is known during the planning phase.
