Sealed bids are requested for furnishing and placing road gravel on the County Roads, with projects divided as follows: PROJECT #1: 9,000 cubic yards, more or less, for Leicester, Harvard, Inland, and Lynn Townships; PROJECT #2: 9,000 cubic yards, more or less, for Eldorado, School Creek, Lewis, and Sutton Townships; PROJECT #3: 9,000 cubic yards, more or less, for Glenvil, Lone Tree, Spring Ranch, and Fairfield Townships; PROJECT #4: 9,000 cubic yards, more or less, for Marshall, Sheridan, Edgar, and Logan Townships; PROJECT #5: 36,000 cubic yards, more or less, for the entire Clay County. Bids are for supplying Class A Gravel loaded in Clay County trucks at the pit site for contract dates March 15, 2026 to March 15, 2027. Bidders may submit bids on one or more projects. The surfacing gravel must conform to State of Nebraska specifications for Class A gravel, with clay and silt content not exceeding five percent, and follow specified gradation requirements. Gravel must be delivered within 10 working days of the order date, weather permitting. All bids must be accompanied by a $1,000 company check to be held until the end of the contract. The successful bidder must enter into a written contract with Clay County. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
