Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Alice, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Drainage improvements in the Rancho Alegre of Jim Wells County will include the installation of approximately 11,389 LF of HP pipe, 213,010 CY of pond excavation, 3,035 LF of roadside ditch improvements, junction boxes, and associated appurtenances and subsidiary work as shown on the construction plans. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety for contracts exceeding $100,000. In lieu of the bid bond, a certified check or bank draft payable to Jim Wells County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted. All contractors and subcontractors must not be suspended or debarred prior to award. The project will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates must be paid. The successful bidder must ensure non-discrimination in employment and adhere to the Jim Wells County Section 3 Policy. Minority, small, women, Section 3 businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Jim Wells County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications prior to contract award.
