Responses to questions will be addressed no later than February 6, 2026, by 4:00 PM. The project identifier FY26-PW-SW01 must appear in the subject line of the email. . SCOPE OF WORK 1.1. GENERAL 1.1.1. Contractor shall furnish all materials, supplies, equipment and labor to complete the installation of the fencing as described in these specifications. All measurements supplied by the County are approximate. 1.1.2. Failure to inspect the site will not relieve the Contractor of his obligation to comply with these specifications nor will it serve as grounds for later withdrawal of Contractor's bid or claim for additional payment. 1.1.3. The fencing described in these specifications will be used to enclose and secure the Solid Waste Collection Convenience Center on Pine Inn Road, Bulloch County Ga. 1.1.4. The basic fence configuration will include Commercial Grade 6' high chain link fabric with top pipes with a double drive gate (2 - 12 ft parallel slide gates) and a single drive gate (1 - 12 ft parallel slide gate) as shown on the layout drawing. 1.1.5. The fencing will be Inset from the property lines approximately 10 ft to allow for maintenance on the outside of the fence. Exact location of the fence will be set by Public Works Staff and Contractor prior to installation. 1.1.6. Contractor will furnish product sheets for materials he proposes to furnish 1.2. MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS 1.2.1. All materials will be galvanized steel except where specifically noted. Galvanizing materials will be hot dip applied. 1.2.2. All vertical pipes will be covered with galvanized pipe caps. Gates will be joint welded and galvanized. 1.2.3. Fencing materials will be steel construction. 1.2.4. Minimum component specifications: Commercial Grade Fence A. Fabric: 6' height. Minimum 11-gauge galvanized steel. B. Top rail pipe: 1-5/8" O.D., sleeve joints C. Line Posts: 2" O.D., 8 1/2' long D. Corner Posts: 2 1/2" O.D., 8 1/2' long E. Gate Posts: 4" O.D., nominal 10' long F. Dome style post caps G. Gate frames: 2" O.D. with Schedule 40 pipe horizontal welded members I. Ties: 9-gauge aluminum J. Concrete: minimum 3,000 PSI, wet mixed and poured for post set K. Bottom Tension Wire, Galvanized, 7 Gauge 1.3. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS 1.3.1. Installation will be performed consistent with manufacturer's recommended guidelines. 1.3.2. All work will be coordinated with County's representative. 1.3.3. Compound area where fence will be installed is covered with clean crushed rock over vegetation barrier. Contractor will manually slice vegetation barrier at site of postholes to prevent tearing and separation of barrier fabric. Crushed rock will be replaced around posts by contractor. 1.3.4. Gates will be welded and the joints wire brushed, solvent cleaned and cold galvanized. 1.3.8. Maximum span of 10' between line posts. 1.3.9. Install truss bracing rods at all corner and gate posts. 1.3.10. Contractor shall be responsible for dig permit and utilities prior to start of work
