Renovation of a museum in Augusta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Sealed bids are invited for the Ezekiel Harris House Retrofit for Augusta, GA - Central Services Department - Facilities Maintenance Division. Bid documents and specifications must be obtained from Augusta Blueprint for a non-refundable fee. Plans can be reviewed online at no charge. All bids must be submitted by mail or hand delivered, with a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit. Questions and requests for clarifications must be submitted in writing by electronic email to the Procurement Department by the specified deadline. A 5% bid bond is required, and successful bidders must provide a 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond. All specific requirements in the invitation to bid, such as the number of copies, timing, financial data, and other Procurement Department requirements, are material conditions of the bid. Bidders must procure bid documents directly from the Procurement Department to ensure accurate information. The Georgia E-Verify law requires contractors and subcontractors on public contracts for physical performance of services over $2,499 to enroll in E-Verify. No bids will be accepted by email; all must be received by mail or hand delivery. The construction will include masonry, concrete, structural steel, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, building sprinkler, roofing and limited sitework as required for the new addition.
