The City of Evanston seeks bids for the demolition and site restoration of 727-739 Howard Street. The project requires full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, prevailing wage, and necessary permits. The work includes coordinating water/sewer disconnections, rodent abatement at least 14 days prior, and installation of temporary perimeter fencing. The contractor is responsible for demolishing all structures, including the basement, properly hauling and disposing of debris, and meeting Cook County, MWRD, Illinois EPA, and OSHA requirements. The site must be backfilled with clean fill, graded to surrounding elevations, topped with at least 4 inches of topsoil, and seeded with season-appropriate grass (weather permitting). The bid must include the cost of asbestos abatement. Bids must include a lump sum for demolition and restoration, project timeline, relevant municipal demolition experience, proof of insurance and bonding, and at least three client references.
