Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

The work consists of the 2026 PCC Patch Project, which includes the removal and replacement of existing PCC pavement (approximately 1,400 SY, 8" PCC), curb and gutter removal and replacement, ADA compliant sidewalk and ramps, and other associated improvements. Work locations include 10th Ave N from N 22nd St to N 23rd St, S 23rd St from 1st Ave S to 2nd Ave S, S 8th St from 1st Ave S to 2nd Ave S, and the crosswalks across S 7th St & S 8th St at 1st Ave S in Fort Dodge. All work and materials must comply with the proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract on file with the City Clerk. Bidders must bid on all items and sections in the Proposal Form, and the City Council will award a single contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the entire project. Bidders must submit their bids on City-furnished forms in a sealed and plainly identified envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, a bank money order, or a bid bond executed by an authorized surety. The bid bond form provided must be used, with original ink signatures. Bid security is required to be 5% of the total bid. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price, guarantee faithful performance and payment of all materials and labor, and provide maintenance for the improvements as specified. The contract is subject to product and labor preferences under Iowa law, applicable federal environmental regulations, and the requirements of the Clean Air Act and Federal Water Pollution Control Act. Payment will be made as detailed in the approved plans and specifications, with monthly progress payments and final payment after Council acceptance. The contractor and subcontractors will receive Iowa Sales Tax exemption certificates for project materials.
