Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bonds must be on the form provided with the Contract Documents.\ The Bid Bond may be forfeited and the proceeds retained as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute a contract or file acceptable performance bonds or provide an acceptable certificate of insurance within fifteen (15) calendar days after the acceptance of his proposal by resolution of the City Council. No bidder may withdraw a proposal within one hundred forty (140) calendar days after the date set for opening bids. The right is reserved, as the Fort Regional Airport Commission may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. All work under the contract shall be completed and ready for operation on or before a date to be specified in the "Notice to Proceed". The Contractor(s) shall fully complete all work, including deliver of the vehicle/equipment within 90 calendar days of the date of the "Notice to Proceed" or issued Purchase Order. Deliver shall be free on board (FOB) destination to the address noted herein below. Cash on Delivery (COD) deliveries will not be accepted. All vehicles/equipment shall be off-loaded at the designated location at the vendor's expense. Failure to complete the work under the specified schedule will result in liquidated damages of $250.00 per calendar day until the project is complete.
