The 2026 Lane Striping Project consists of work located throughout the City where line striping is present, except where the plans indicate not to be painted. All work and materials must comply with the approved plans, specifications, and form of contract. Work is to be commenced on or before a date specified in a "Notice to Proceed" and must be completed by June 26, 2026. Bidders must submit their proposals on forms provided by the City. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. All bid bond signatures must be original in ink. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Preference will be given to products and labor from Iowa to the extent required by law. Bidders must bid on all items and sections set out in the Proposal Form. All work, equipment, and materials must strictly comply with the approved plans, specifications, and contract. Payment will be made monthly for ninety-seven percent (97%) of the Engineer's estimate of acceptable work; final payment will be made no less than thirty-one (31) days after completion and acceptance by resolution of the City Council.
