Sealed bids are being accepted for the replacement siding of City Hall in Concordia, Kansas. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "City Hall Siding" and delivered to the City Clerk at City Hall, 701 Washington, PO Box 603, Concordia, KS 66901. Late envelopes will be returned unopened. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The City intends to replace the wood siding on the north and west sides of City Hall in downtown Concordia, Kansas. Additional work includes replacement of soffit and fascia of the mansard roofs of the same building. Locations include the north and west sides of City Hall, and north side of the Fire Station. WOOD SIDING Remove one (1) layer wooden siding and trim. Replace with LP SmartSide ExpertFinish engineered wood siding, board and batten style, or equal. Furnish and install all accessories and new materials according to manufacturer specifications. FASCIA & SOFFIT Remove and replace fascia and soffit with metal fascia and soffit. Color to be selected by owner after bid approval. Furnish and install all accessories and new materials according to manufacturer specifications. Provide a warranty information for labor and installation. Contractor to include a 10% contingency for unforeseen conditions arising during construction. Prices for all materials, labor and equipment provided during bidding are expected to be honored at the time the bid is approved, which is expected within 30 days of the bid letting. Contractor responsible to provide all labor and equipment necessary to complete the scope of work. Contractor responsible for proper disposal of all discarded material. Delivery of materials and all work will occur on site at City Hall, 701 Washington. The parking area immediately north of the City Hall may be used for storage of equipment and materials. Contractors may park their work trucks on the north side of City Hall. Parking on west side of City Hall must remain open for employees and customers. Contractor is responsible to provide sanitary toilets for their workforce. Portable toilets may be placed in the alley on the south side of City Hall.
