Site work for a water / sewer project in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Phase III of the project would extend the water main approximately 4,200 linear feet up Rte. 116 to Rte. 7 to provide water volume into the EDZ and improvement on the benefits of the phase I and phase II installations. The installation of a 12" water main in Rte. 116 from Appian Way to Rte. 7 would provide improved water capacity in the redundancy of the entire water system. The project is included in the City's 2027-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of January 30, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
