Sealed proposals are requested for the Elizabeth Street Storm Sewer Project. Bidding documents, including Information for Bidders, Contract, Form of Proposal and Bid Forms, Plans and Specifications, may be examined or obtained for a non-refundable deposit. There is an additional fee for mailing. No documents are issued within 48 hours of the bid opening. The contract is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All bidders must submit a bid bond of 10% of the bid amount in an acceptable form. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any form of bid bond, reject any or all bids, waiver informality or irregularity, and negotiate upon receipt of bids. The Township may increase or decrease quantities. Bidders must be Pre-Qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after submission. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in received bids. All work under this Contract will be performed on Elizabeth Street and Clara Street from Joseph St. to Third Street. within North Versailles Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The work essentially includes, but is not limited to: A. Removal of existing storm sewer, Inlets, and storm manhole as shown on plans. B. The installation of new storm sewer system as shown on plans. C. All required excavation, bedding and backfill, including the furnishing and installation of aggregate as specified and disposal of excess and unsuitable excavated materials to an approved disposal site. D. Compliance with all applicable state and local requirements relative to public highway occupancy, roadway openings, pavement restoration, traffic control and any and all other applicable requirements. E. The complete cleanup of the entire site of work. F. The completion of all required restoration, paving, landscaping, and any other such related and required work. G. All other such related and required work as indicated on the Contract Drawings or contained elsewhere in these Contract Documents.
